Standing in front of a camera can be very nerve racking - I get it, I don’t like having my picture taken either. If that sounds like you, you’re not alone. Kirsten told me flat out that she felt nervous every time she has her picture taken. So, when I hear that, I know it’s my job as a Calgary engagement photographer to try and make my clients feel at ease. But, it didn’t take me long to realize that these guys were naturals - despite what they felt, they were great in front of the camera.
For Kirsten & Alan’s engagement shoot, we took advantage of Calgary’s East Village and the beautiful fall colours. St. Patrick’s Island is a beautiful park located just to the South and West of the Calgary Zoo and it is so picturesque that it makes my job as a Calgary Engagement Photographer that much easier. From there we walked across the river to the Simmons building, which houses three hip local businesses: Char Bar, Phil & Sebastian Coffee Roasters & Sidewalk Citizen Bakery.
All in all it was a great day capturing photos for this fun couple!
