My first visit to Cochrane’s Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park, I was struck by the beautiful rolling foothills carved by the Bow River which snakes through it. That was summer. When Rachel & Steve asked me to do a winter engagement shoot, I thought that Glenbow Ranch may be an interesting setting, but wasn’t sure if it would have the same effect buried in snow.

The result for this Calgary engagement photography shoot was a minimalist white and grey backdrop where the newly engaged couple popped out of the monochromatic background. Rachel & Steve were a lot of fun and were up for anything on their engagement shoot. From throwing snow to taking piggy back rides or working with some of the props I had provided by local wedding planner & stylist Kismet & Clover, this couple was game. I think their fun loving nature can be easily seen in this cute couple’s engagement session; I hope you think so too!
