I’ve always said that being in love is reason enough for a photo shoot. It seems more and more common that couples are opting not to get married; but that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t still document your love in some way.

So when Kiya and Cam came to me to have a modern-boho meets prairie-equestrian, love photo shoot I thought, “This is a Calgary couples’ photographer’s dream!” The warmth of the setting Alberta sun provided an amazing glow for this stunning couple! There is something timeless about this photo shoot, like it has a feeling like it was as much from the 1940s as it was today – it’s not overtly vintage or modern, it just is. Having the stunning draft horse O’Hara in the shoot also adds to that timeless feel. As a Calgary couples’ photographer I am a sucker for romance and love directing couples to get cuddly with each other. From these photos you get a sense of the strength of the love and connection that Kiya and Cam have with each other, it surely is a beautiful thing!
