To say this wedding was the dancingest wedding I have ever been to might be an understatement. It was off the hook. It seemed like there was always music going and there were always people dancing. Even when there wasn’t music going, people were exuberant celebrating life, love and this amazing union between these two lovely people.
This is one of the true perks of being a Canmore wedding photographer – you get people traveling from all over the world to have a destination wedding in the stunning Canadian Rocky Mountains. He was from Nigeria, currently studying at the UofC and she was from Texas – a truly awesome international wedding experience!
Toyin & Kay chose to have their wedding at the stunning Silvertip Resort in Canmore, Alberta. The Rocky Mountains are so beautiful and majestic, but because of their altitude they can also have unpredictable weather. This is something you have to be prepared for as a Canmore wedding photographer and Jenny from Gingersnap certainly came prepared with a good quality raincoat and a change of clothes. I must admit, I was not as prepared and I – like many of the guests got drenched at this wedding. Fortunately, this did not put much of a damper on the events and everyone was in a celebratory mood for the remainder of the evening! Hopefully the pictures capture that mood of levity, love and friendship that helped the couple usher in the next chapter of their lives!
For this wedding, I was second shooting for Gingersnap Photography
