Being a Calgary wedding photographer, I love finding talented local vendors such as Laura George to collaborate with. Laura’s beautiful wedding gowns speak directly to the modern bride with their clean, elegant lines. When planning this shoot, planner/designer Kismet & Clover sought to find a space that would complement these modern wedding dresses. The Commons (a Calgary co-work space located in the hip Inglewood/Ramsey area) was the perfect fit for our photo shoot, with its industrial modern brick walls, augmented by stunning lighting fixtures & chandeliers. Together it seemed like they put together the perfect Calgary wedding inspiration board.
Allison of BEACH beauty YYC is in the enviable position of doing hair and make-up for some of the most beautiful women in Calgary. As such, she seems to have an endless list of stunning ladies to suggest we work with when planning styled shoots. Kiya was no exception, with her amazing ink/sleeve tattoos, her look was that perfect reflection of the modern hipster bride. Allison’s hair and makeup treatment was so versatile that it didn’t matter what gown or backdrop we were using that it seem to fit seamlessly. It could be elegant on the one hand and whimsical on the other; romantic in one instance and playful in another.
In a city with so much talent, brides will have no trouble planning their dream wedding.
