If you’re a wine lover, your dream may be to get married at a vineyard, maybe like the Okanogan Valley, or perhaps the famous Napa or Sonoma wine regions. However, what would be the equivalent for a beer lover? A brewery wedding? Perhaps. How about an Olde-English pub with its own hop orchard? Horchard? Hopchard? Anyways, that’s exactly where beer lovers Rachel and Steve decided to get married. The Crow and Gate pub, located on Vancouver Island’s Sunshine Coast, is an authentic British style pub with a beautiful backyard patio, lovely gardens and a hops-orchard. You could say that is was a Vancouver Island wedding photographer ’s dream!

Rachel and Steve are a super nice, fun-loving couple and their wedding certainly reflected that (Check the photo of guys sporting their fluorescent shades and hopping in the hopchard)! These guys make a Vancouver Island wedding photographer ’s job easy! Rachel is a flight attendant for Westjet and these guys LOVE to travel, scrolling through their social media feeds, it seems like their lives are a non-stop vacation (cue the jealousy here)! So, when it came time to finding a theme for their wedding, they thought, ‘why not a tropical, travel theme?’ replete with flamingo themed decor everywhere – super fun! And super-fun describes their day perfectly, they were up for anything, weather is be clamouring over jagged rock formations or shoving pie in each others’ faces, it was a Vancouver Island wedding photographer ’s dream!
